Extempore Speech

An extempore speech is an impromptu speech which the candidate is required to make on a topic given there and then. No prior preparation is permissible.

An extempore presentation tests the candidate on the following:-
      1. Ability to think off the feet.
      2.Analysis of the topic and identification of the issue to be addressed.
      3. Idea Generations.
      4. Prioritization and sequencing to display logical thinking.

Presentation Speech

A speech presentation is publicly speaking to an audience with intent to inform, demonstrate, explain or persuade. The presentation is normally written, then performed and includes an introduction, a body consisting of main focal points and a conclusion. The subject matter, choice of words and delivery all depend on the audience. Visual aids are often incorporated into the presentation, if meaningful and relevant. 

Guest Lectures

A guest lecturer may be present during a class or at a special time outside class. The college professor, club, organization or department that invites the speaker decides whether the lecture will be open to students outside the classroom or group. Sometimes a speech may be made available to the public as well.
